How do you make a Truffula tree for kids?
Instructions
- Cut 10-12 1-inch squares out of the purple, pink and orange tissue paper.
- Take a pencil and place the eraser end in the middle of a green square.
- Once you have a line of grass, take the three straws and cut different lengths.
- Repeat step 2 to make the Truffula trees.
Are Truffula trees real?
The truffula tree is based on a real species of tree in Elliot’s house that Dr. Seuss saw when he traveled there with his first wife. The trees bear a faint resemblance to the clovers in Horton Hears A Who.
